1987 Buick Grand National

Modern Muscle... Virtual Horsepower
These were not sold during the musclecars glory years (1964-1971). I
have one.If you dont think they qualify, email me.Ill send you my time slips.By 1987 the G body platform, although scienced
out,was an aging design.The G body platform,never designed with performance in mind (1978),is a throwback.The powerplant spoke
of things to come.Seventies suspension technology,Nineties power and Turbo lag.Lots got bent up.Surprising that so many survived.Im
on my second 87 turbocar;what makes these cars so appealing is their driveability -off boost ! And if you keep your teenagers
away from them , they are pretty reliable. The turbo intercooled whizbang technology was developed by some wayward engineers
in the Buick skunkworks department, who somehow convinced GM that fielding an Indy 500 race team would aid in durability testing .
